Back in March I had a contest for someone to win a free session of their choice. The Reed family were the lucky winners and these are some snippets of my time with them. There is something amazing about the wonder and curiosity a 2 year old possesses. Little C was so much fun to follow around and just watch explore. This age is all about figuring out independence and this little man is well on his way! I enjoyed every minute with them. Thanks again for letting me share this sunny afternoon in April with you!

It’s always amazing to photograph family, especially when they are parents-to-be and the big-sister-to-be who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new baby!! This big sister has it all figured out, she is going to be a great helper and made a fabulous assistant photographer too! Notice the picture of her with her own camera getting ready to give me a run for my money. We had a great time and I can’t wait to meet the new bundle in early May!

Congrats to the 3 of you! <3

Well it’s been forever since I updated the blog and  I’m so far behind that I don’t know where to start. I’m going to try in coming weeks to show some of the photos from the amazing sessions that I have had over the last few months. It’s been a great few months and I’ve shared my time with some really great families.

In the last 4 months we have not only moved homes but my husband has been away full time, for the most part. I have been extremely busy being a “Mom” but I have loved every minute of it. Things are going to get a bit easier from here on out as he is going to be home a lot more and I am going to be able to take on a few more clients then I have been able to recently which is exciting!

As those of you that have visited the site before will notice it has a whole new look! I have re-branded the business and I am loving it! In order to encourage all of my past, present, and future clients to visit the blog and leave some love I thought what better an idea then to have a contest!!

There are 3 ways to enter by commenting on this blog post:

1) Join the images by amanda page on facebook and leave a comment here on the blog letting me know you did or already have! www.facebook.com/imagesbyamanda
2) Spread the word and let me know how you did it by leaving a comment below!
3) Tell me how you will use the free session! Family, couple, newborn? spring, summer, fall, winter? studio, outdoors?

You will be given 1 entry for each item to a maximum of 3 entries per person. Please ensure you comment 1 time for each and do not put all 3 into 1.
You get 3 separate entries, might as well take advantage!! Post them all now or come back later and post again. All comments need to be made on the blog and not on the facebook page or they will not count towards the free session. I will be randomly selecting a number via random.org and the person who commented in that spot wins!! It’s THAT easy!

Contest closes on March 18th at 11pm.
Good luck! I’m looking forward to reading your comments!

The Painter Family

October 6, 2010

This family was the start of a super busy couple of weeks. I haven’t had much time to catch up on the blog so I thought if I committed to at least updating it with one post today then I can get to the rest eventually but hopefully at a quicker pace! So, how cute is this little girl? Her parents call her “pickle” lol (no that’s not her real name). She was a great little girl and absolutely LOVES her Sophie giraffe so I found it only fitting for Sophie to make an appearance in all her glory. She also loves being in her wrap and it was amazing how quickly it just calmed her down. She had some super cute outfits and honestly I would have had to post another half a dozen pictures to show it all. It was great to meet you and a lot of fun playing dress up with a little girl since I don’t have one of my own! lol.

Mr. Mom

September 23, 2010

This session was a lot of fun. When they arrived we got talking and realize that we had all grew up in Fort McMurray and although we knew similar people had never met each other. It was a true pleasure that the stars somehow aligned and brought them to me to photograph their new baby boy. He was an amazing little guy and was such a trooper through the whole session. The funniest part of the whole session was Dad, he is one proud papa and is going to assure that his son is a heartbreaker when he grows up and Dad teaches him all that he knows. On top of it all he is a true Mr. Mom, this is one Dad that doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty.  He also made a great assistant! His wife has to be one of the most beautiful people I have ever met inside and out. I hope you love your pics as much as I enjoyed taking them!
