This baby boy was on a mission to see the world! We had originally planned a maternity session but due to this horrible weather we’ve been having it was rescheduled, little did I know that just a couple of days later I would get a message that it wouldn’t be necessary! This little man decided at just 34 weeks he was going to make an appearance into this world. He was healthy and absolutely adorable. He has quickly become the center of his parents universe and I know they just can’t imagine life before him. He really is a cutie.

I thoroughly enjoy pretty much every session I do but meeting with this family is pretty high on my list. I was overjoyed to hear that their little girl had finally arrived into this world. She is an absolutely adorable baby girl and it was so much fun to see her interact with her parents and learn some of her little quirks! I have never seen a little baby so aggressive with a soother, it was too funny. She is destined to be a Daddy’s girl too! I’m pretty sure it won’t be too long before she’s got him figured out and getting whatever she wants, he adores her.
Here are a few images from our time together.

I would like you all to meet the G family. This isn’t the first time they’ve been on my blog. We met a couple of years ago for some fall family photos and I was excited to be able to meet them again this summer to do some more! It’s amazing when you haven’t seen a family in a while and realize how fast kids really do grow up! These boys were a ton of fun; they climbed trees, had imaginary sword fights, threw rocks in the water, and climbed a couple rock walls. It was overall a beautiful day and a great time!

I had a contest a little while ago recruiting more people to my fan page and this beautiful family were the lucky random winners! I was really excited to do this session. The weather was gorgeous, the sun was shining and the location was amazing. It was also scheduled on Father’s Day! Which, might I add was very appropriate for this super Dad of 3 beautiful boys. A mother’s bond with her children is always something really special to see but there is something a little bit tear jerking about a Dad’s bond with his boys. It was really a great way to spend Father’s Day afternoon. I know my husband enjoyed his special time with his own boys that afternoon as well. This family also happens to have an adorable dog that I could have loaded up and took home with me. My sister was in town and came along for the ride and turned out to be a fantastic dog sitter during the session!! She might have a future in it! haha jk.
Hope you enjoy the photos!! Thanks again W family! It was so great to meet you all!

This session was a few weeks coming. For some reason or another (weather on a couple of occasions) we had to reschedule this family ‘s photos. It was almost a relief when I woke up the morning of these photos and the sun was shining. The session was a lot of fun and ironic! The session fell the day after the couples anniversary and the location I had picked for photos was the exact same place their wedding photos had been done. The not so fun part of this session was that I got totally sidetracked trying to put my stuff away after the session that I had locked my keys in my vehicle. I realized this of course after they had already driven away and at the same time a drum team of sorts had shown up to practice! I was saved a short 30 minutes later and had a bit of entertainment while I waited, even managed to get a bit of a tan. All in all, not too bad!

I met J not that long ago when we got together to do her maternity photos. Little baby M was on his way mere days after that. He made his arrival one amazing evening and is absolutely gorgeous! It was great to meet this little man for his newborn pics. I loved all of his hair. He is one lucky little boy with some amazing parents. I have never met a Dad that looked so adoringly at his little boy!! It was priceless. Baby M had some other ideas in mind for his Dad during the session though. Let’s just say there were some accidents and Dad’s shirt became the target! J and I had a good laugh… Mom’s always seem to be the target so it’s kind of funny when it’s the dads turn. Well here are some pictures of my time with them, as before, it was great seeing you J and finally meeting the new love of your life!

About a month and a half ago I received an email from Carla wondering if I would be interested in taking some maternity portraits for her. It seemed like forever and a day until our session but this past Saturday evening the time had come! The forecast wasn’t looking that great and they had been calling for thundershowers all day, I was hoping for the best and the best came. It turned out to be a fabulous evening to do pictures and they turned out to be an absolutely adorable couple. I had so many fabulous pictures from this session and have picked some of my favs to share. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them and am thrilled to be able to take their newborn portraits when the little baby arrives. I love when I meet new clients and I leave the session feeling like I made some great new friends. That is definitely the feeling I got from this session and will patiently but eagerly await the birth of their new baby.

Well a couple of weeks ago I met with beautiful J to take some maternity photos. The session was done mere days before her due date but we got through it. It was a fun and casual session. I love those. I love being able to talk with my clients and have them leave feeling like we are now friends. I do photography because I love it, I love meeting new people, I love the feeling it gives me to know I have been able to capture images for people that they are going to look back on many years from now. I’m looking forward to meeting with J again soon to take some photos of her new beautiful baby boy.

It was one of my close friends birthdays last week so I took her little girl for a few hours and took some photos of her while my friend was out enjoying a peaceful birthday dinner! The funny thing is S is constantly smiling or laughing but as soon as I got the camera on her she was the most serious child around. She is too funny… Here are a few shots that I took of her and her momma once she returned.

Well I had be trying to decide for just over a year now whether to stick it out with Nikon or jump ship and head over to the Canon world. I absolutely love Nikon, their ease of use and great equipment proves them to be amazing at what they do. Over the last year though I’ve had time to ponder my decision and after doing some research and seeing Canon’s variety in the lenses and the video capabilities they provide with their 5D MarkII I made my decision. There is always a constant debate of Nikon vs. Canon, it’s kind of crazy. At the end of the day though it’s all relative and comes down to what features suit your needs more. I’m looking forward to the upcoming sessions that I have booked and giving my new <3 a shot at making some great memories.
Here are a few pictures that I took of my little boy who is growing way too quickly!
